Unimarconi Master via ENEB Thread

I have access! I wasn't sure about my program actually starting on the 15th because it was a Saturday, and I was correct to doubt ENEB. I emailed them Saturday morning and never heard back, but it magically showed up in campus.eneb.com about 1PM Spain time on the 17th. So I'm in.

As far as "transferring" my ENEB work...not so much. There are 9 classes plus the MFP (Master Final Project) i.e. the only thing I was supposed to have to do in the first place. This might be an intentional lie/lie of omission/lie of incompetence from ENEB, as there isn't a single module in the ENEB Big Data degree that directly overlaps with the Unimarconi Big Data degree. Some of the topics are similar but the books provided in the courses for the Unimarconi degree are different. The sales page says "subjects that have already been passed are validated." But hurr hurr, no subjects overlap, so it sucks to be me. Either that, or the subjects in the ENEB Big Data degree are completely different now than they were when I did it in 2023.

The final project does not look like it will have any academic use beyond getting this degree and the word "thesis" is not being used in the traditional academic sense. It's another ENEB paper, not an original piece of scholarship, with one section correlating with each of the 9 courses in the program. You will not be getting this published somewhere as a means of strengthening an application for a traditional doctoral program. It would probably make sense to do each section in the final project after you finish the paper for the corresponding class.

I was told the "thesis" was supposed to be 12,000 words, but the instructions in the file I downloaded say it is not to exceed 18 pages. I would be very tempted to troll someone with 12,000 words in 4 point font if I didn't already know ENEB was having clankers clank out the grades for papers now.

I see no listing for the comprehensive exam. The sales page said "Exam dates are published on the campus 2 months in advance, with several opportunities throughout the year." Maybe that will show up at some point. I'm not going to worry about it today.

ENEB told me I'd be able to get an academic letter of recommendation from someone at Unimarconi to apply to doctoral programs and that appears to be an outright lie. It does not look like I will be directly interacting with anyone at Unimarconi, or even ENEB, in an academic capacity. The format is identical to doing an ENEB degree by writing papers.

Still...with a total cost of roughly $2400 when figuring in official US transcripts, a replacement undergrad diploma and apostilles I can only complain so much. Is this what I was sold? No. Is this still a great deal? Absolutely.

I just got access and noticed all these. Sent an email to confirm if I can submit projects for all modules, including the Master's Final Project and have al individual grades. Only 6 modules from all of the prvious ENEB work I did correspond to the Unimarconni degree I chose, so if this allows me to have individual grades for all modules, and end up with a Unimarconi degree and clean transcript, I will be very happy with that.  

So far, the UNISEB material that described the testing, with 8 multiple-choice questions for each module, turned out not to be the case at all, so this turn of events does not surprise me at all. I was just about to send an email requesting a refund when I got the email that the course has been activated.
