As my father used to say, that's bass ackwards. I would think that they had every detail figured out before even promoting the option but, apparently, they did not.![]()
Anyway, if you're American (or want to use your ENEB degrees in America) just do the traditional program. If the worst happens, you will be so, so SOL if you don't have actual grades or an actual transcript, and can't prove you did any work for the degrees because you can't produce your final projects. It's just not worth the risk.
They can write all the baloney they want, but your points are spot-on. This is like watching the Hindenburg go down in slow motion, smh. We know they read these threads, so I'm just going to say this:
ENEB: It is essential to note that the testing option is intended for individuals who may not require their degrees for further academic pursuits or certain occupations.
Me: No ENEB. No. What's essential is that YOU must understand that giving people Masters degrees after completing a single 50 question exam is going to absolutely, positively, destroy your school's credibility and sink the image and credibility of every person who earned a degree through your program in the proper way: by doing actual work, not by taking some single 50 question exam. Legitimate schools do NOT do this, only diploma mills do this. You're making an unbelievably ridiculous and foolish mistake.
ENEB: We understand that a significant number of our students are internationally based, and we are committed to considering the recognition and acceptance of our degrees across various regions.
No, you don't understand. You don't understand at all. Because if you did, YOU WOULDN'T BE DOING THIS. I'm just going to be blunt: the people telling you that this is a horrible idea understand the system a lot better than you do, to the point that it doesn't appear you understand it at all. People are telling you this because they know how this ends, they've seen it before, and they know what a diploma mill looks like. You're about to create one, and I understand you don't see it, but that's what you're doing. Listen to what the public is telling you, they're not saying these things to you just for the heck of it.
It's time to swallow your pride, listen to what the people are telling you, and DON'T DO THIS! Take this horrible idea, crumple it up, throw it in the trash where it belongs, set it on fire, walk away, and pretend you never put this out to the public, and never ever mention it again. That's the best thing you can do, because if you go through with this incredibly awful plan, you will be finished as a school in terms of credibility, and fast. The MCA deal you made was bad enough and never should've happened, but you won't survive this 50-question Masters debacle.
