I have been using TESU for many, many years. Sometimes, I need to hold them accountable, and I do make the Veterans Office do its job. Overall, I have been happy with them, and I also had my boys use them once they left the service as well.

TESU is a great option. If it were me, I would recommend for other veterans or active military members with veterans benefits to apply to either WGU, UMPI, or UIUC and do the IMSM there.

For those thinking about Master degrees, I got an MBA from LSU Shreveport and a Master in International Affairs from UC San Diego.
LSUS for the MBA was decent but I would not use the GI Bill. It only cost $15k and I could of gotten a degree with more prestige or better connections in the current area I am residing. Content was relatively easy and I graduated with a 3.6 GPA after a year. Very doable while working full-time.
UC San Diego for their MIA was good but I would have done with MAS-IA degree like a lot of the officers were doing. We received a bunch of quant stuff but only 5-10 people out of the 150 person class ended up becoming data scientist or analyst. La Jolla is fantastic and I enjoyed it as an Army veteran beach bum but definitely a Navy town. Lifestyle was comfortable with BAH + disability.
Just thought I'd mention it too, TESU was a great fit for me in 2015-2017. I was able to get a BA in History and had technical IT certs to supplement. It's a great path to commission.
Excelsior wasn't worth my time but with 25B AIT, I only had to take 2 classes to get an AAS in Computer Technology. Not bad considering I didn't know what I wanted to do at the time.

If I could do it all over again, I would have used the Active Duty TA for a bunch of random degrees since the TA never pays much anyway aside for a few courses a year in conjunction with state waivers (which I most definitely used and had my fair share of lol). Then go after all the CBE schools with max transfer credits from the other schools, followed by the GI bill to some big name universities for the hell of it. I think I did ok though.
TESU is solid for pretty much any veteran. If it were me as a brand new service member/veteran, I would just go to a big name school that has a yellow ribbon program and go there with the TA/GI Bill and call it a day.
