TESU Introduces Accelerated Courses (4-week format)

Theoretically yes, I don't know whether it is actually feasible. I think if you pre-study / pre-research your topic and the sources for the paper, I'd say it is possible, but I guess you could evaluate it better, as you went through the regular 12-week version.

This 4-week version seems similar in workload to the 12-week version. No online discussion in 4 week verison but they add 4 extra assignments.

4 week

12 week

People on here seem to finish the capstone in around 80 hours, give or take 20 hours. So that is quite a workload per week for that one course.

I'll be done at the end of the month, but this is awesome for everyone else. You don't need 12 weeks for Info Lit. You really, really don't.

So, with the regular 3-month courses on the flat-rate term, you can take up to 5 courses.

How does it work for the 4-week courses? Is the maximum 3 courses total, or can you take multiple 4-week courses simultaneously?

It's an optimization problem that might need an algorithm! But just intuitively, you can now take up to 7 courses per 3-month term (16 cr max for any one point of time and 1 course max for AC at that same time)

So before July 2026 you can max out at 20 courses a calendar year, after that you can take as many as 28 courses a calendar year! But would students be paying the same flat-rate tuition for potentially more cr?

Are only certain major capstones accelerated beginning July? I am looking to register and complete the LIB-4960 Liberal Arts Capstone – Social Sciences to complete a BA Psychology @ TESU, but I do not see that it is available with the new accelerated courses. I see other capstones available to register, but not this one.

I emailed my advisor, but wondering if anyone has any insight.. Because if I don't register for a 3 month capstone by July session, I wont make Dec Graduation. I was thinking it was available as a 1 month option and I would complete it in August's accelerated session.

The Learning in the Digital Age" TECEP (Exam Code: DGL-1010-TE / DGL-101-TE) is super easy peasy. I aced it. LL worth 3 credits.

Computer Concepts and Applications (CIS-1070-TE) is extremely easy if you have an IT background.
